The most-awaited screen adaptation of the beloved musical is coming to the Philippines next year! Although it received mixed reviews, Anne Hathaway seems to have been spared for her heart-wrenching portrayal of Fantine especially in her I Dreamed a Dream sequence, Hugh Jackman is also praised for his  musical and acting prowess. LINCOLN (2012)

As the Civil War continues to rage, America's president struggles with continuing carnage on the battlefield and as he fights with many inside his own cabinet on the decision to emancipate the slaves.

Grossing $88,220,634 so far, this film is a reminder of how great Steven Spielberg can be when he chooses to. Brilliant writing by the multi-awarded Tony Kushner make the story more intriguing. Add to that some subtle (not the usual overbearing) score from the legendary John Williams and we have a fine drama film. Daniel Day-Lewis restrains himself but still provides a very well-conceived and powerful portrayal of the 16th American president, which won him the 2012 New York Film Critics Circle Best Actor award. Tommy Lee Jones and Sally Field are also singled out for their brilliant turns.

Lincoln: a film about a legend, directed by, written by. and scored by legends and starring acting legends. Now that's legendary.

Rotten Tomatoes sums it up: "Warm, whimsical, and poignant, the immaculately framed and beautifully acted Moonrise Kingdom presents writer/director Wes Anderson at his idiosyncratic best."
