I am missing Game of Thrones so badly. I had to download the opening theme just so I can be reminded of the nudity (nauna talaga), schemes, wars, and battle of wits. Bakit ang tagal mo, 31 March 2013?!
It is one of those shows that become an instant classic even only after a few episodes. Sure, the plot is not really something we have not seen/heard yet but the compelling storytelling and narrative keeps me hooked. Exemplary production values, complex characters, great cast, crisp direction, and excellent writing make Game of Thrones a universally acclaimed TV series. It remains a puzzle to me though why it still fails to win a major Emmy award (as it is quite given that the technical awards are automatically for it to win).

My second favorite character is khaleesi Daenerys Targaryen. Her transformation from a tribute wife to a confident ruler of her nomadic people is a beautiful one. Resolved to take back what was rightfully hers - the Iron Throne -- she weathers all to succeed. I always enjoy watching the gamut of emotions displayed on Emilia Clarke's beautiful face.
The Second Season showed how capable an actress Lena Headey is. And what a layered character she has. Cersei Lannister 's plots, pleas, and insights are unapologetically Machiavellian. Her struggles as a queen and to keep her illegimate son in power are nevertheless unselfish.
I also like some of the Starks - Jon Snow, Robb, and Arya. I have always rooted for Ned when he was alive. My liking for him is quite associative and transitive. Hahaha.
I do not plan to read the books until the series is over. Game of Thrones shall be my new Harry Potter.
I have always lived in fantasy. And maybe I can only fantasize about the life I'm living. Charot!

im also looking forward to that season.
